What is Partial Knee Replacement?

Partial Knee Replacement (PKR), is a type of surgery done on the knee that is designed to replace an artificial knee implant. During this procedure, the impaired portion of the knee joint is substituted with a knee implant. It is appropriate when Arthritis or joint damage is present in only one compartment of the knee joint, so the bone and the limbs are still healthy; the ligaments in the knee are in good health prior to the commencement of the surgery.
