In 2017, Dr. Haresh Bhalodiya was honored with the prestigious Dr. B.C. Roy National Award, India’s highest recognition for medical professionals. The award was presented by the then President of India, Pranab Mukherjee, in recognition of Dr. Bhalodiya’s exceptional contribution to the advancement of orthopedic care, particularly in the field of joint replacement surgery.

Over a distinguished career spanning more than four decades, Dr. Bhalodiya has established himself as one of Gujarat’s pioneers in arthroplasty, having successfully performed 70,000+ joint replacement surgeries, including hip, knee, shoulder, and elbow replacements. He serves as the Chairman and Managing Director of Saviour Hospital, Ahmedabad, and has also served as the President of the Indian Society of Hip & Knee Surgeons (ISHKS).

In addition to his clinical excellence, Dr. Bhalodiya has made significant contributions to medical education as the former Professor and Head of the Department of Orthopedics at B.J. Medical College, where he mentored and trained more than 100 postgraduate orthopedic surgeons.
